Welfare event comes to Annapolis in September

Several events are geared towards enhancing mental health among the locals and visitors in Annapolis, and a major one will take place in September.

The Out of the Darkness Walk is an event devoted to promoting mental health. The event is in line with the primary objective of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention of saving lives and giving hope to the people affected either directly or indirectly by suicide.

Attendees will get a chance to be part of creating a culture that is smart about mental health through education and community initiatives.

The top priority of the organizers is to ensure all volunteers and walkers are safe and healthy. In this regard, the organizers are working with relevant government agencies to monitor any developments relating to health. Admission is free for walkers, and it allows the attendees to learn about the lifesaving works of the Maryland Chapter of AFSP, which is organizing the event.

The ever-increasing number of participants in the event over the years is an indication of significant changes that can be achieved when people come together. The event will be taking place on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. Local businesses can offer Promotional Products to the participants as a way of supporting events like this.
