Three-hour cruise to explore Chesapeake Bay

The Day on the Bay Cruise, a regular fall event, is about to take place at the Annapolis City Dock on 1 Street.

The morning cruise takes guests to the Eastern Shore's St. Michael and will mark the 45th anniversary since it was started.

Once the sea vessels dock on the other side, visitors can spend three hours exploring the quaint, historic town, with plenty of opportunities to explore the attractions located within walking distance.

While they enjoy the cruise, gourmands can taste locally sourced crabs, prepared using authentic South-eastern techniques. Guests can also explore various shopping destinations on Main St., ranging from clothing and boutiques, to antique shops and pet stores. For those who love history, visiting St. Michael's provides a chance to check out St. Michael Museum.

Once the excursion is over, visitors will take a cruise back to Annapolis. However, guests who wish to stay longer can find accommodation in one of the B&Bs and inns.

Cruises on the Bay by Watermark is the sponsor of the event, and more details about it are available on the Visit Annapolis website. Downloadable visitor guides are also available on the site, which can be converted into printed form with the help of local brochure printing companies.

The Day on the Bay Cruise is scheduled to take place this coming week, from Thursday, October 8 to Saturday, October 10.
