North Sails, a company started in 1957 as a sail making business, is setting up a clothing store in Annapolis.
The company’s nautical-themed clothing arm, which up until now was only available online, has made this its first U.S. store, with more to follow.
The store will feature clothing, waterproof Bags, and sailing accessories made from innovative materials. As this line of products is unique and often limited to a specific market, North Sails could us local printing services to obtain Promotional Products, Flyers, and information on Direct Mail printing.
The stores clothing features waterproof and breathable fabrics that enhance freedom of movement. The men’s and women’s lines of clothing feature pants, T-Shirts, polo shirts, outwear, dresses, and shorts. Clothing is still available to purchase online from any location on North Sails’ website.
The company also continues to thrive in the sail-making business, founded by Lowell North, as well as holding several National and World records. North used his engineering background and applied it to the sail-making craft in establishing the business.
The company plans to open two more stores in the U.S. in the upcoming months – one in New York City and the other in Newport, Rhode Island.
