Licensed nail technicians and cosmetologists who would like to offer a new service to their clientele may find that the class planned for the Annapolis area will be just what they have been looking for.
This workshop, which is intended for those who are new to applying acrylic enhancements, will teach the fundamentals. Everyone who registers will be asked to show their licence before the session begins, and the agenda covers a variety of topics.
The students will begin their learning from the ground floor up, and will discuss how they can effectively consult with their clients to give them the look they want. Safety issues such as infection control and sanitation ,as well as proper nail preparation, will be reviewed. After this, it will be time to learn about applying acrylic nail enhancements. The learners will be working with mannequins, and the guide for the function will be a National Board Certified Cosmetology instructor.
When they register for this short course, each learner will receive a kit of products to help them get started in their own salon or other establishment. Print shops can prepare an assortment of marketing materials to let the area know that a local business is now offering a new service like this.
The four-hour Nail Tech 101 workshop will welcome registrants on June 20, and it will start at 10:00 am. The venue for the day is located at 12164 Central Avenue in Bowie.
