The Maryland Renaissance Fair in Annapolis is currently underway, bringing a variety of activities for adult and children. The event is located at 1821 Crownsville Road in Annapolis.
The 27-acre village has 200 professional performers, 140 artisans with professional crafts, food and beverage vendors, taverns, jousting, and entertainment.

There will be pottery, coins, sandcasting, leather goods, jewelry, wooden swords, blown glass, pewter, face painting, and a wide range of other crafts and activities.
The fair has a number of restaurant and food vendors. Guests can tuck into apple dumplings, crab cake sandwiches, fish and chips, fresh seafood, barbecued ribs, sandwiches, wraps, and smoked turkey legs, washed down with either soft drinks or alcoholic beverages.
The 10 stages on the grounds will have archery demonstrations, jousting events with live horses and riders, musical performances, theater productions, comedy, juggling, magicians, and dancing.
Theme weekends will be Pirates Weekend on September 29 and 30, followed by Shakespeare Weekend on October 7 and 8.
The Maryland Renaissance Faire runs until October 21 on Saturdays and Sundays. Hours are 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Rain or shine the festival remains open, and parking is free.
