October is turning out to be the month for the art world to experience many local events. The events are for all levels of artists, and fans who want to admire their work.
The displays will feature a variety of paintings and photography. To promote the local events, it is likely that artists and museums spent time with a local Print company to obtain Flyers and Brochures to bring awareness to the public.
For a start, 49 West Coffee House will celebrate the month displaying framed images of Old Annapolis with a variety of black and white images. It is likely some locals may even find themselves in one of the photos on display, which were taken in the 1950s.
The Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) will host its 40th annual Collector’s Choice Art Lottery on October 23, with a Collector’s Choice Preview event being held October 14 to 21 at Circle Gallery. This is a local favorite event and the value of the artwork is guaranteed to be a minimum of $185, the cost of the ticket.
MFA will also host the 5th annual competition entitled ‘Strokes of Genius’. This painting competition will show the works of over 60 artists from 21 states chosen by a Juror. The paintings will be on display from October 28 through November 26 at the Circle Gallery.
Other locations to check out include Paul’s Homewood Café, the Benfield Gallery, the Mitchell Gallery, and the Annapolis Marine Art Gallery.
