The Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival is back another year with a lineup of entertainers sure to please the hundreds who attend the event.
Held rain or shine, the event, which is held in Annapolis, benefits two local charities.
It is likely that Banners and Flyers will be on hand to provide information for the charities. We Care and Friends is one of those benefiting from it event. The charity provides assistance to those in need, including the homeless. The charity provides annual events as well for those in need, including Thanksgiving dinner and a Christmas Toy Drive.
The second charity benefiting from this event is Special Love, Inc. This charity is a profit agency that provides support for children with cancer. The organization provides assistance to families as well and offers its ‘Camp Fantastic’ to afford young patients the opportunity to attend a camp and participate in crafts, recreation and campfires.
Among this year’s entertainers are Jonny Lang, The Mavericks, Ana Popovic, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Walter Trout. There will also be nearly a dozen other entertainers taking the stage throughout the two-day event. Food and craft vendors will also be at the event for attendees to enjoy.
Attendees are expected to arrive by car, boat, foot and bicycle for this popular event.
The Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival will be held this Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 at Sandy Point Park. Gates open at 10:30 am with entertainers taking the stage from 11:00 am to 8:30 pm on both days.
