Art celebration continues November and December

The First Sunday Art Festival will continue to be held in November and December in downtown Annapolis.

Held on West Street to Calvert Street between the Lowes Hotel to Whitemore Park, the festival continues to grow, attracting over 150 artists, and now has a farmers’ market.

The November event will feature holiday shopping from local vendors. Guests can purchase holiday ornaments, decorations, toys, paintings, jewelry, ceramics, soap, art, clothing, and specialty food products, among other goods.

There will be face painting for children at the park, and musical entertainment on four different stages, along with dance groups. Annapolis has Print shops that design and assist with poster printing for events where performances take place on stage.

The festival will also be part of the Chocolate Binge Festival in December. There will be a gingerbread bounce house for kids, marshmallow and s’mores roasting, and hot cocoa.

Over 35 chocolate vendors will be part of the festival. Local restaurants and food trucks will be available serving a wide variety of food and drink.

Admission is free, and free parking can be found at Calvert Parking Garage two blocks from the festival.

The First Sunday Arts Festival will be held on November 4 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. It will be held on December 2 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm. in conjunction with Chocolate Binge Festival. A small admission fee is charged for the latter date.
