Annual plant sale returns to William Paca Garden

Annapolis area residents will again have a chance to bring home a plant, tree or shrub from the historic grounds at William Paca Garden. The sale, which is just in time for Mother’s Day, will use proceeds to benefit the gardens.

The organizers spend a lot of time, through hard work and volunteers, to bring this sale to the public every year. The have likely worked with local Print shops to create a catalog which notes specifics about each of the plants to help consumers take care of them. The Catalogs are available for sale and online.

Volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions and help choose the right item for purchase. With a variety of plants available including St. Johnswort, Mexican Sunflower, Carolina Jasmine, and Hyacinth bean, there is something for every landscaping purpose.

With many individuals focused on conservation, there are an abundance of plants available that support natural environments. Those plants would include Honeysuckle, Perennial Milkweed, and Cardinal Lobelia.

Herbs are also available to assist with creating your culinary delights, including almost a dozen different types. For those looking to grow tomatoes, there are several varieties of tomato plants on sale as well.

The plant sale will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday, May 12 from noon to 4:00 pm. William Paca Garden is located at #1 Martin St. in Annapolis.
