Women in Annapolis are looking forward to a personal finance workshop organized by the Covington Alsina organization.
The event, dubbed Adulting 101, will focus on training women to become better at managing their finances. It will cover a wide array of topics ranging from budgeting, to saving, to building a better credit score, and reducing debt.
The trainers at the event are certified financial advisors. These professionals are also experts in retirement, estate management, insurance, investment, and taxes. For most people, knowing how to invest their life-long savings or how to create a practical retirement plan is often a challenge. Attendees of this event will get a chance to seek professional guidance on how to go about the more complex aspects of personal finance.
Part of the learning will take place through activities and games to make the session more exciting. This approach to training also helps attendees to retain more information than a traditional lecture-like workshop.
The event organizers may use business card printing to help the attendees find them in the future. Some of the women may need personalized help with their finances, and the cards could provide useful contact information for them to reach the professionals.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 15. It will start at midday and run until 3:00 pm at the CovingtonAlsina, 67 West Street, Suite 200, Annapolis, MD. To reserve a place, contact the organization or sign up through the website.
