Annapolis theater camp to see local kids tread the boards

Annapolis kids who have been bitten by the theater bug will have a chance to spend a week this summer learning about the ins and outs of bringing a play to life.

ArtFarm Annapolis’ Musical Play Production and Prop Building camp will give budding thespians experience in the work that goes into producing a play, and the activity will include input from Building better People Productions. The show will have positive messaging, and the activities will be suitable for youngsters from ages eight to eleven.

The number of campers will be limited to just 10, as this will allow them to each receive individual attention. The morning will be spent rehearsing, while the afternoons will see the group building sets, backdrops, and taking on the technical tasks involved in bringing a play to fruition.

On the last day of the camp, families will be invited to take a seat in the audience so they can enjoy the production and see the results of their child’s work. Souvenir programs may make a good souvenir of this sort of activity, and Stationery printers will be able to prepare them.

The Musical Play Production and Prop Building Camp will be held at 111 Chinquapin Road from July 12 to 16. Each day will run from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, and every camper will need to supply their own lunch and snacks.
