Annapolis classes to welcome parents-to-be
Annapolis’s expecting parents who would like to prepare themselves for the arrival of their new bundle of joy are welcome to be part of a three-part series of potentially helpful classes.
The AAMC Belcher Pavilion located at 2000 Medical Parkway will be offering a short course that will be focused on the prenatal period and beyond. It is for expectant mothers to attend with a partner, and tickets are $55 each.
The class, which is three hours long, will cover a variety of topics and the birth process, including pain relief and relaxation measures, comfort, and assistive birth technologies such as augmentation and labor induction, will be reviewed. When and why a cesarean section may be used will be discussed, and a summary of what to expect during the postpartum/newborn period is also on the agenda. Each registration is for two people, and it will take place in person.
A class or other learning event may condense high volumes of information into a relatively small amount of time. Custom-designed learning materials for an activity can be prepared by stationery printers.
This opportunity for mothers-to-be and their partners to prepare for the arrival of their newest family member is scheduled to start on Monday, February 3. Everyone is asked to arrive by 4:30 pm, and can take advantage of the garage parking facilities on site.
