Annapolis arts event to be held through November

Annapolis First Sunday Arts Festival will be held over the next six months in downtown Annapolis.

The festival is located on the West St. block between Church’s Circle and The Lowe’s Hotel, and Whitmore Park. It has over 130 arts and crafts vendors, musical entertainment, and food. Open to children and adults, parking is available in three parking garages, and the Calvert Garage is free all day.

The festival has wood working, leather goods, photography, prints, quilts, jewelry, pottery, scarves , stoneware, glass, watercolors, T-Shirts, furniture, coins, garden art, and more.

It is one of the largest markets to shop for handmade goods. Nearby restaurants will have outdoor cafes and food trucks will be in Whitmore Park.

Some of the restaurants open will be Ram’s Tavern, 49th St. Coffeehouse, Tsunami, and Wine Bar & Gallery. Many retail shops will be open for business too.

Each festival will have musical entertainment for children and adults. There will be jazz, a children’s choir, bands, soloists, rock, and country. There will also be dance and theater performances, and face painting during the day.
The hours are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The dates are June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, October 7, and November 4.
