Annapolis area event to put pets in need first

The pleasant days of mid-September can be perfect for an outdoor event, and one that will be held near Annapolis will help area animals in need spend this winter in a new and loving home.

Those who include the Higgins Pet Fair and Crafton Dog Show will be raising funds for Rude Ranch Animal Rescue, including its Spay Ape and Neuter Nook. These programs help to reduce the stray animal population, and there will be fun for all ages.

People who come out to support the event will be able to shop from an assortment of pet-related small businesses, and several animal rescues will be on site. Dog owners can enter their furry friend in a friendly competition, and a pie-eating contest is in the works. Leashed pets are welcome to attend the festivities.

When people care about a cause, they often appreciate seeing how their contributions of time or money are being utilized. A poster printing company can prepare everything from event programs to oversized photos that show how their generosity is making a difference, and these can be displayed during fundraisers and other activities.

Free to attend, the Village Green at Crofton is set to welcome this day of fun planned with pet lovers in mind on Saturday, September 16. It will kick off at 11:00 am.
