West Roxbury will soon be taking steps to actively address hunger in the community, and everyone is asked to lace up their sneakers and hit the road in support of the cause.
Rose’s Bounty is a food pantry program that meets the needs of the local area, and it will be hosting a Walk for Hunger event this weekend. Over half of the proceeds will remain with the charity, while the rest will be passed along to other Massachusetts community feeding programs.
The walk will both start and stop at Rose’s Bounty, and the route between will be approximately two miles long. Everyone will receive a map that indicates the stops along the way, and at the finish line, they can enjoy a cookout lunch and post-walk celebration. A prize draw will add further excitement. A goal of raising at least $20,000 has been set by the organizers, but they are hoping to surpass that amount.
A fundraiser may make a major impact when it comes to both raising money and awareness. A banner printing company can prepare signage, Banners to display during a walk or run, and lawn Signs to post along the route.
Rose’s Bounty will be hosting its Walk for Hunger this Sunday, May 3, starting at 11:00 pm. Its event page provides more details, along with a link to sign up as an individual or team member. Get a Free Quote for Signs Get a Free Quote for Banners
