Purchasing a home that also generates income for the first time can be a nerve-wracking experience, but thanks to a September presentation, West Roxbury residents will be able to arm themselves with knowledge that may make the process easier.
Financial Education Associates will be running an online class for first-time home buyers who would like to lower or even eliminate their own housing costs. Using a multifamily property to do so will be the focus of the workshop, and it will be free to attend.
The activity has been organized by the Madison Park Development Corporation, and advance registration is needed. Everyone will find out about the benefits and pitfalls of combining a home with a rental unit, and they will also learn what requirements may be in place when applying for a mortgage or loan. An introduction to the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants is included in the agenda, and additional resources, tips, and tools will be supplied.
An online presentation that introduces a topic may leave the attendees eager to learn more. A brochure printing company can prepare information packets that include promotional Pens and other swag to send out to any attendees who provide their contact details.
The session will be offered on the Zoom platform and will begin at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, September 15.
