A popular West Roxbury restaurant is planning a special event to support a local women’s organization.
The West Roxbury Friends of Rosie’s Place are the organizers of the upcoming Harvest Brunch 2024. The event will include a delicious breakfast, and an opportunity to win Gift Certificates from popular local shops and restaurants. Attendees will be able to enjoy a meal with friends and neighbors while they help a good cause.
Rosie’s Place is a multi-service facility that provides women with meals and emergency shelter, and much more. Established in 1974, it was the nation’s first woman-only shelter, and although it began as a safe space where homeless and poor women could find shelter and have a meal, it has expanded into a center that provides educational services and support to approximately 12,000 women annually.
The center ensures that opportunities are available to all regardless of race, religion, gender identity, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, or perceived ability, and that everyone is treated with respect, as Rosie’s works for social justice.
The brunch is scheduled for November 3, from 10.00 am until 12.00 pm, at the Irish Social Club of Boston, located at 119 Park Street in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. People may still donate if they cannot attend the brunch. When they schedule events like this, organizers may turn to a printer who can create advertising using poster printing.
