An annual tradition is returning to the West Roxbury area just in time for the holidays.
The Roxbury Main Streets Annual Holiday Gift Distribution and Holiday Tree Lighting is coming to the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building, located at 2300 Washington Street in Roxbury. The location is near Nubian Square, considered the heart of the community.
Roxbury Main Streets collects gifts for children and then distributes them at the event. After that, everyone enjoys lighting the Christmas tree. The event kicks off the holidays in Roxbury.
Roxbury Main Streets is a non-profit organization that is working to revitalize the Roxbury neighborhood by developing and promoting small businesses in the local area. The organization hopes to create a vibrant cultural and economic hub while preserving its history. Nubian Square is Boston’s busiest busing terminal, meaning there is a lot of foot traffic that small businesses can capture.
Roxbury Main Streets works toward its goals by sponsoring initiatives like business retention and recruitment, improving the streetscape and public spaces, using promotional and marketing campaigns, and more.
The gift giving is scheduled for December 7, from 2.00 pm until 5.00 pm. In order to receive a gift, children have to register by December 2. When they plan events like this, organizers may find it convenient to work with one of the area’s Print shops to develop festive Posters, advertising the fun.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Posters
