Motorcycle run to raise mental health awareness
An event is on the way for the Fitchburg area that will show support and solidarity for those going through a tough time.
The 10th annual “Ride of Your Life” motorcycle fundraising excursion is right around the corner, and the monies raised will be used to help support suicide prevention programming in the local area. It will be open to the public and also family friendly, and offers an introduction to the importance of mental health.
The ride will last for three hours, and it will tour North Central Massachusetts. The registration desk will be open two hours ahead of the departure time, and the fee to participate includes lunch, on the road refreshments and also a map of the route. The general public is welcome to stop by to enjoy the food and entertainment that will be on offer, and the staging area will be set up at Haywood Hospital in Gardner.
Raising public awareness about an issue is often one of the goals of an organized charity motorcycle run. A banner printing company can prepare flags, banners, and other items for the riders to display as they go, which may help to draw attention to their cause.
The event will be held on August 21, with a rain date of September 17, and kickstands will go up at 10:00 am.
