While a drive-in movies may be a thing of the past, thanks to Fitchburg Parks and Recreation, the community will be enjoying a similar family-friendly experience.
The Summer Movie Nights program will see the public treated to free flicks under the stars. Each film will begin at dusk on a Thursday night, and four dates are on the agenda.
The big screen for the activities will be set up on the lawn next to City Hall, and everyone may bring a blanket or collapsible chair so they can sit back, relax, and take in the show. They may also bring along their favorite movie snacks or show some love to local eateries by picking up their dinner first. The lineup includes Zootopia 2, Airplane, Dumb and Dumber, and Super Mario Brothers 2. All ages are welcome.
Outdoor movie screenings are becoming increasingly common events hosted among many communities. A poster printing company may be tasked with lending a hand by preparing cinema-style marketing Posters.
Fitchburg will be adding an extra touch of fun to its summer schedule with its Movie Nights program, which will begin on Thursday, July 23. The subsequent dates are July 30, August 6, and August 13, all starting at around 7:45 pm. More information about the initiative is available on the city of Fitchburg website.
