Fitchburg to welcome return of fall fundraiser
Fitchburg families will soon be joining together for a fundraiser that will support one of its academic institutions.
The Bernardian Association will soon be holding its annual Bernardian 5K and Fun Walk, and it will help to make the most of a crisp fall afternoon. This will be its eighth year, and the staging area will be set up at 260 Summer Street.
The day will kick off with sign-in and race bib pickup, and light refreshments will be served. The raffle tickets will go on sale, and the walkers will head out at 10:30 am. The runners will depart half an hour later, and the raffle draw will follow. Participants will be invited to make their way to the Thirsty Robot Brewing Company for the after party, where the fun will be on tap.
To help ensure the function reaches its fundraising goals, the organizers have invited one and all to get involved. They can sign up to run, walk, or donate corporate gifts to offer as raffle prizes. There is also a sponsorship program in place, and anyone who would like to learn more about how they can donate or sign on as a sponsor can contact 978-502-6993.
