Fitchburg will soon be getting some TLC, and residents are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and join in the fun.
The city has organized a schedule of community cleanup dates, with five on the agenda. Those who are considering taking part are asked to bring along their friends as well as a sturdy pair of work gloves, and each installment of the project will last for four hours.
Participants will be working at different locations each date, and plastic Bags and disposable plastic gloves will be provided. To thank everyone for their hard work, coffee and donuts, as well as a light lunch, will be served. There will be a drop-off station for used box springs and mattresses, and also televisions and computer monitors, and a dumpster will be on site as well. There will be city staff on hand to help should assistance be required and to keep the function organized.
