Fitchburg fire department hosting family fun

A Fitchburg event that will show how it's possible to have lots of fun while still keeping safety at the forefront will help the community to get spring off to an enjoyable start.

The Fitchburg Fire Department is preparing for its Fire Safety Day and Open House, and it is hoping for a great turnout. There will be lots to see and do, and both kids and adults may enjoy the festivities.

The plans include a chance to learn more about the fire department and other first responders. Each child will receive a safety packet as well as a bicycle helmet for as long as supplies last, courtesy of the Fitchburg PD. The firefighters will be demonstrating their training smokehouse, and fire trucks will be on site.

While the kids enjoy themselves, the adults will be invited to watch demonstrations by local martial artists, and food trucks will be rolling in as well. RC Motors will have a display, and there will be other vendors too. The Shriners Clowns will also be present.

Celebrations can be a lot of fun, and they also bring neighbors together, making them community builders at the same time. Banner printing services for almost any occasion can be sourced online, in person, or over the phone.

The Fitchburg Fire Department will be offering a sneak peek into how it helps to keep the area safe on May 6. The festivities will be on offer at 33 North Street.
