Fitchburg festivities to be a frosty affair
As Fitchburg prepares for another holiday season, its residents have been invited to join a neighboring community for a special celebration.
The town of Gardner will once again be welcoming one and all for its annual Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting ceremony this November. The festivities will run for two hours, and a full schedule of the activities will soon be released to the public.
Locals and visitors who drop by can enjoy the lighted parade as it winds its way from City Hall to Monument Park, and many local shops, organizations and businesses will show their community spirit by preparing a float or other entry. When it reaches the park, the switch will be thrown on its light displays, and then it will be time to enjoy some caroling, refreshments, and even a sleigh ride should the weather permit.
