Fitchburg festival to celebrate mans best friend
Fitchburg canines will be front and center during an event that will give every dog its day.
The Fitchburg Dog Festival will soon be celebrating its fifth year at the Fitchburg Dog Park. It will be a free celebration for the community, and any sponsorship proceeds or donations raised will be used to help support companion animal welfare related initiatives in the local area.
For four hours, the function will give the public an opportunity to celebrate the canine set. They can sample the fare from area food trucks, have their furry friend microchipped and have them undergo a health screening. Craft beer will be on tap, and everyone can meet local K9 officers and their charges to learn how they perform their duties. Ice cream will be scooped, and a raffle and a chance to support local small businesses the vendor area will round out the occasion.
To help make their event a success, the planners are working with an assortment of community sponsors. The website for the festival provides information about each of these as well their logo design.
