What's Happening in Fitchburg, MA…

Fitchburg families to become more environmentally friendly

This April, an event that will show some love to the Earth will be taking place near Fitchburg, and this free activity is open to anyone who would like to get involved.

While supplies last, the Beaman Library in West Boylston will be distributing items that will help local families to learn different ways they can “go green”. It will show how environmental stewardship can be simple, and the projects that will be included have been selected because they may be both educational and fun.

The library will be distributing packets of wildflower seeds for local families to plant, and they will be species that are found in the area. The participants can also take home a houseplant, and instructions will be shred for keeping their new green friend healthy and strong. Trash bags and gloves will be supplied so that everyone will be able to pick up litter on their property, or in parks or other public green spaces, and this is all free of charge.

Hosting stewardship activities can show the public how simple it can be to be environmentally friendly. A poster printing company can aid in promoting these functions to anyone who might be interested.

The Beaman Library will be hosting its Earth Day festivities on April 22. Its staff can be contacted at 508-835-3711 by anyone with questions about the occasion.
