Fitchburg area to get crafty with cookies
A venue in the Fitchburg area will soon welcome Fitchburg kids and accompanying adults for a cookie-decorating session.
The Grown-up and Me - Splash into Spring - Cookie Decorating Workshop will give youngsters an opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with an important adult in their life. Everyone will work with the pre-baked cookies that will be provided, and the activity can accommodate up to 30 people.
The pairs will receive their pre-baked sugar cookies, as well as sprinkles, frosting, and a box to take their creations home in. The session will have enough time to allow for questions from the group, and the attendees will all learn skills they can then use in their own home kitchen. Filling and using a piping bag, coloring the icing, and various decorating techniques will be all taught.
At the end of the class, the participants will be offered an opportunity to purchase additional cookie kits to take home with them. These will need to be ordered ahead of time. Printed recipe cards and other printed items required for a cookery class like this one will be on offer at a local printing services supplier.
The Westminster Community Senior Center will be serving as the venue for the Grown-up and Me - Splash into Spring - Cookie Decorating Workshop on April 15th. The registrants are asked to arrive by no later than 10:00 am.
