Even though the temperatures may be dropping, Fitchburg golfers will be bundling up and heading to the links at an area club for a “fun raising” event.
Red Tail Golf Club will be hosting a late season weekend golf tournament that will make the holidays happier for area kids. Each player who registers has been asked to bring along a new toy with a value of at least $15, and it has been requested that they be unwrapped.
The format for the play will be a four-person scramble, and it will begin with a shotgun start. Each ticketholder will be able to enjoy 18 holes of golf as well as range balls and the use of a cart. An assortment of hearty soups, as well as beer and other beverages, will be on offer during the round, and both raffle and mulligan tickets may be purchased in advance.
