Beverly to host waterfront party this month

The 11th year of the waterfront party at Lynch Park in Beverly will be taking place this month.

Hosted by Beverly Harbor Management Authority, this will be a lively family celebration on the water. There will be food trucks, lawn games, a beer garden featuring local craft breweries in the Carnegie House, and music in the shell. The entertainment will be provided by Music Street and among the cuisine sold by the food trucks will be lobster rolls, crepes, chowder, pizza, soul food, and ice cream. Such food trucks often turn to local Print shops to help promote their specialty foods and offerings.

Additional special attractions this year will be a 420-sailboat used by the Sandy Point Sailing Program and the Beverly High School sailing team, a harbormaster jet boat, kayaking led by the Kayak Learning Center, and a dive truck from the Beverly Fire Department. The Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary will be providing an inflatable 43-foot humpback whale named Salt. It is recommended that attendees bring a chair or blanket.

Organizers of the event from Beverly Harbor Fest say this party is for both young people and older adults. They added that it marks the winding down of another excellent boating and beach season on the North Shore.

This event will take place on Sunday, September 11 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
