Beverly favorite returns to Cummings Center

Torie Farnsworth and Anthony Marino reopened Marinos Café in Beverly earlier this month at the former Boardroom Café at Cummings Center.

They had previously been located on Rantoul Street but closed that shop last April. Craig DeOrio, who owns Fibber McGee’s, another popular eatery in Beverly, has joined them in this venture.

Farnsworth commented that they are very to be back in Beverly, adding that the kitchen is much larger, so that they can now offer a full breakfast along with their sandwiches and salads, as well as catering services and made-from-scratch baked goods.

The signature sandwich is the chicken cutlet sandwich, which includes fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and homemade basil pesto. The breadcrumbs are also made from scratch by Chef Marino.

Julie Thompson, a graduate of Johnson and Wales, will be the baker for the café and is joined by staff from the restaurant’s previous location, who will be on hand to prepare the made-to-order coffee drinks on the menu.

Farnsworth graduated from Endicott College in Beverly, and Marino grew up in the city. They have a passion for fresh, local food, and being involved in the community. In 2012, they were given the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Flyer printing services is one way they can spread the word about their new location and the catering services they will be offering, along with a catering menu.
