Golfers who are interested in some friendly competition will want to leave some flexibility in their schedule to attend an outing and fundraiser.
The SBC Habitat for Humanity Homes for Heroes Golf Outing will tee off at the end of August in Georgetown, and locals who want to showcase their skills and help raise money for a meaningful cause are invited to sign up. Organizers hope to rally the Georgetown community in support of the Critical Home Repairs Program, which provides repairs for veterans and seniors to help them maintain their independent lifestyles.
The golf outing will have Scott County golfers face off against Bourbon County golfers to crown a champion and give bragging rights. Organizers can use banner printing to promote the outing and its sponsors at the host golf course’s tee Boxes and greens to make easy impressions.
Spots are limited, and interested golfers will want to get started to ensure a spot. Each golfer will make a difference for the 2026 Scott County initiative while providing tangible support to those in the community who need it most.
The Canewood Golf Course in Georgetown will host the golf outing and fundraiser. Golfers are welcome to show up at 9:00 AM on Friday, August 28 to check in. Both team and individual registration is open and available online.
