A workshop focused on meal preparation and increased nutrition is coming to Georgetown next month, and area residents who want to learn a new skill are invited to attend.
The Nutritious Freezer Meal Workshop, which is being organized by Full Circle Wellness, is getting ready to welcome participants for an evening of food-themed fun. The experience is open to interested parties of all culinary skills and experience levels, with instructors providing the knowledge and instructions to help each participant grow and develop their handiness in the kitchen.
The event will be inclusive for those with dietary needs, as all six meals are dairy and gluten-free. The meals students will prepare during the workshop are chicken curry, taco lettuce wraps, spiced butternut squash soup, sheet pan fajitas, a quinoa burrito bowl, and sticky sesame chicken paired with vegetables. Print shops can provide Copies of each recipe for cooking workshops like this, allowing students to follow along and continue learning from home.
Participants are asked to bring an apron, along with a cooler from home to place each meal in for increased freshness, and to show up ready to cook.
The workshop will be held at 322 North Broadway in Georgetown, on Tuesday, November 11 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Tickets can be reserved online for $145 plus tax per student.
