The Honor Run Half Marathon, which raises money to spend veterans to Washington D.C. to visit their memorials, will necessitate the closure of several of Florenceās main streets.
Streets that are part of the 13.1 mile course will be closed to traffic at 6:45 am on race day, which is this Sunday, November 15. Those who plan to travel on U.S. 42 on that date will be relieved to know that they will not be encumbered in the travels. That road will remain open in both directions.
Some roads will be closed to traffic for less than an hour, while others will undergo closure for several hours. Print companies can be used to assist in races of this sort with flyer printing to inform the public of which roads would be closed and for how long. Additionally, a banner printing service can be used to build excitement for the race.
The race beings at the Florence Water Tower and after the runners circles Florence Mall and continues south on Mall Road, after eventually crossing Burlington Pike runners return to Mall Circle Road and the finish line back at the Florence Water Tower.
According to Scott Spicher, the event organizer, those wishing to attend Christ Chapel Church on the day of the race are advised to approach from Donaldson Road. During breaks in the race, Florence police will permit entry into the church parking lot.Get a Free Quote for Print
