For Operation Winter, several local organizations are working together to spread the word and get residents of Florence and Northern Kentucky to support their local small businesses.
OneNKY Alliance initiated the program, and it has been picked up and led by Meet NKY Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau, with the support of organizations such as the North Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
Meet NKY Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau has a list of participating businesses on its website. Businesses are located in Covington, Newport and Florence. Among the Florence shops taking part are:
-La Torta Loca
-DEFY Florence
-Full Throttle Adrenaline Park
-Sherlock's Escape Rooms
-Florence Y'alls baseball team
-Bourbon House Pizza
The list allows visitors to click through and buy the gift cards online, or takes them to their websites or social media pages.
Brent Cooper of the NKY Chamber of Commerce said:
"The holidays are a time when Northern Kentucky always comes together as a community. It is so important for consumers to remember that when they do their holiday shopping to purchase gift cards from a Northern Kentucky business.”
Gift cards with a business’s Logo Design are also available inside many of the shops. The campaign was launched on November 23 and will continue until the end of the year.
