Vom Fass in Crestview Hills will be hosting an oil and vinegar class next month, open to all nearby residents in the neighboring communities, including Florence, Erlanger, and Edgewood.
The evening class will focus on educating Vom Fass consumers on the benefits of a Mediterranean diet and extra virgin olive oils. As part of a healthy lifestyle, this oil is believed to be high in healthy monounsaturated fats and antioxidants, with excellent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. In addition to not contributing to weight gain like other fats, extra virgin olive oils are also thought to be helpful in the prevention and treatment of Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and cancer.
As an organization, Vom Fass ensures it knows where its olives are grown, and how they are harvested and processed into the oils sold and imported.
Class participants will have the opportunity to taste the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, fruit and star flavored vinegars, traditional vinegars, infused oils, and cold-pressed nut and seed oils, in several dishes the staff will prepare during the event. Promotional Products and recipe cards may also be distributed to attendees.
The Vom Fass Oil and Vinegar class will be held on Tuesday, May 18, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the store located at 2870 Town Center Blvd in Crestview Hills. Tickets cost $15 per person, and are available on the Eventbrite website, or by calling (859) 331-1896.
