Green-fingered guests to learn how to reuse newspaper
There is much value in learning how using recycled newspaper could be of great assistance in the garden. At tomorrow’s ‘Newspaper Gardening Workshop, guests will examine ways that they can reuse newspaper to create such accessories as seedling containers, seed packages, and various other garden applications.
Yvonne Henke from the Lexington Herald Leader will teach students at this course how they turn the output of printing companies into packages ready for when their seeds begin to drop from their plants. She will also teach people how to create biodegradable pots using newsprint that can be made over the winter months, with many available for the spring planting season. This is a hands-on workshop and one that is suitable for all age groups. Yvonne actively supports the use of recycled paper and newsprint for around the home, along with other reusable products, and has a wealth of information to share with others.
