A one-day conference open to all men who have been newly diagnosed, as well as those living with prostate cancer, will be held in Hebron next month. Patients and caregivers are invited to attend from throughout Kentucky, including Florence, Independence and Edgewood.
Presented by the Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, and supported by Prostate Cancer International, the workshop will provide much-needed information about common prostate cancer treatments. The presenters will provide attendees with an improved understanding of their illness and what their treatment options are.
The Prostate Cancer Today: Living Well, Choosing Wisely conference will include two large meetings for all attendees, as well as smaller more personalized sessions. While the speakers and moderators will be knowledgeable and willing to help, one of the goals of the conference is to prepare patients and caregivers, to ask their doctors and nurses more informed questions.
The seminar will also include an exhibit hall for small business owners and merchants sponsoring the conference. Vendors onsite may distribute Promotional Products and Brochures during the event.
Admission to the seminar is free, and will include a complimentary breakfast and lunch. It will be held on Saturday April 24th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Marriott Cincinnati Airport, located at 2395 Progress Drive in Hebron. A donation of $30.00 per person for cancer research is recommended. Those wishing to attend should register in advance on the Eventbrite website.
