Florence learns to nurture
The Florence Nurturing Center will put on a virtual parent nurturing event in a few weeks.
This event is organized by Carol Lapin, who has been teaching and training in this field since 1996, and is aimed at teaching people how to care for parents through substance abuse recovery and treatment. The event will provide training on a number of matters, including teaching individuals parenting tips like how to explore experiences from when they were growing up as children, gain an understanding of substance abuse and its effects on themselves and their families, and understand developmental processes and the relation to their recovery.
The cost to participate in the event is $375, and individuals can register and pay online, or they can download and fill out the payment form from the event website and mail it to the Family Nurturing Center at 5 Spiral Drive, Suite 100 Florence, Kentucky. Refunds will only be provided up to one week before the event is scheduled to take place. Otherwise, cancellation will be subject to a $25 fee.
