Florence golf tournament to raise funds for charity

A summer golf tournament hopes to raise funds for medical emergencies.

The 2025 Collinsworth Cause Golf Outing aims to raise funds for the Collinsworth Cause, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of spinal cord injury survivors.

Registration will open at 11:30 a.m. Participants will engage in a four-person scramble format, with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The $100 entry fee includes green and cart fees, lunch, and two drinks. The dress code requires soft spikes, collared shirts, and shorts (excluding jean shorts). The event will feature a range of activities, including raffles, prizes, and a split-the-pot drawing. A catered lunch will be provided for attendees throughout the day.

This year marks the 13th annual Collinsworth Cause Charity Golf Outing, an event that has become a significant fundraiser for the organization. The Collinsworth Cause’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for individuals who have experienced spinal cord injuries. Event sponsors can get a custom logo design for certain events.

Abby Marsh, the first recipient of support from the Collinsworth Cause, will be recognized at this year’s event. Marsh has continued to attend the outing each year, serving as an advocate and symbol of resilience within the disabled community.

The 2025 Collinsworth Cause Golf Outing is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, at Boone Links Golf Course in Florence, Kentucky. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and is open to golfers of all skill levels.
