Florence gets educated on motors

Chuck Yung, who is an Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) Senior Technical Support Specialist, will be conducting a seminar in early May.

The subject will be understanding motor failures and addressing their causes. The seminar will cover common and unusual failures categorized by components, such as bearings, rotors, mechanical parts, direct current (DC) motors, and accessories. The seminar will provide clear methods for finding the potential reason for each motor failure, accompanied by an extensive resource manual containing pictures and a list of causes. It is recommended that individuals have a basics understanding of electric motors, either through work knowledge or attending EASA's Principles of Medium & Large AC Motors seminar. Having this knowledge will help individuals fully benefit from this Root Cause Failure Analysis seminar. Instructional materials will be given, so participants only need to bring something to take notes with.

The event will cost $629 for members to attend, and $729 for non-members. Interested individuals can register for the event on the EASA website. Brochure printing offers a way for the instructor to provide additional information to attendees at seminars such as this one.

The event will take place on Friday, May 5 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturday, May 6 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Its location will be at the Hilton Cincinnati Airport on 7373 Turfway Rd, Florence, Kentucky 41042.
