An audition for a local production of a popular Broadway show will take place in Cincinnati this August.
The auditions are to be held by Cincinnati Landmark Productions for its upcoming holiday show, "White Christmas." The holiday show features lyrics and music by Irving Berlin, with the book by David Ives and Paul Blake. The heartwarming story follows the journey of veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis. Romance leads them to follow the singing sisters Betty and Judy Haynes to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, owned by their former army commander.
Those who would like to audition may request a form by emailing Jennifer Perrino at Jenniferperrino@clpshows.org. The minimum age for auditioning is 16 years, except for girls auditioning for the role of Susan Waverly, who must be a minimum of 10 years old. Cast members do not have to be the actual ages of the characters, but they should be able to look and act age-appropriately.
For further information on auditions and requirements, interested individuals can call the organizers at (513) 241-6550 or visit their website. The auditions are open to all members of the public with a passion for performing, including those from nearby Florence. Flyer printing might help to attract larger audiences for events such as this one.
Auditions will be held from August 5 to 7, with times varying. The Madcap Education Center is located at 3064 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati.
