Florence baseball fans treated to fun at the ballpark

The Florence Y’alls baseball club wants to thank residents for their support this season with a Fan Appreciation Night.

The Frontier League had a truncated, unofficial season in 2020. Games began in July and wind down this week, with Florence hosting 30 of them.

A statement on the franchise’s website reads:

“We are thankful to our fans for trusting us to provide your family some normalcy and fun this year.”

Fans will be treated to their favorite players going head-to-head with each other in a skills competition and home run derby, where batters will try to whack some baseballs out of the park.

There will also be special prices for beer and food from the various concession stands. Each fan will receive a free take home gift or Promotional Products, including a coupon for free food at a local restaurant.

Admission to Fan Appreciation Night is free. Visitors are required to register at the gate on the night of the event. Patrons must stay in the seat numbers designated on their tickets.

The Florence Y’alls recently changed their name from the Florence Freedom in homage to the slogan on the city’s water tower. The Florence Y’alls Fan Appreciation Night takes place this Thursday, September 17, at 5:35 pm to 6:35 pm at UC Health Stadium, 7950 Freedom Way.
