The 47th annual Appalachian Festival is taking place over three days next month at Coney Island. It is presented by the Appalachian Community Development Association.
The festival will have interactive heritage exhibits including a living history village that will show people what life used to be like in the earlier half of the 19th Century. There will also be workshops on Appalachian instruments. In addition, craftsmen will be giving demonstrations on how traditional item were created and the tools that were used.
For the kids, there will be storytelling and a petting zoo. Also, the regular Coney Island rides and games will be open for those who want some more excitement.
Various vendors will be selling handmade arts and crafts, as well as food. Live entertainment will take place on four stages and will include music and dance performances.
This is a popular event that regularly attracts about 50,000 visitors from all over the area, including from nearby Florence. To help spread the word, local Stationery printers may be asked to provide marketing materials such as Posters and Flyers.
