Environmental event planned in Florence

A toxic waste collection drive is to be held in Florence this November.

The event will focus primarily on the household waste that may be hazardous to health. This includes materials such as batteries, chemicals, electronics, oil paint, inks, and toners. These items may leak or release toxins that can prove to be dangerous to the wellbeing of families. All households are invited to take measures to ensure that these are disposed of properly. This event offers families a solution by having volunteer groups complete the process.

The event is an initiative by the Boone County Kentucky office. It is held annually, and patrons can expect a full turnout as guests work together to create a safer community for all.

The cost for attending the event and offering items will be free. Those who would like further information about this year’s staging they may reach out to Megan Clere, who is the coordinator for Boone County, at 859-334-3151.

Printing services are particularly helpful where providing information for events like this is concerned. Organizers at waste disposal days can use these services to bring awareness to their cause.

The event will be held on Saturday, November 5 at the Thomas Moore Stadium, which is located at 7950 Freedom Way, Florence. The opportunity begins at 9:00 am and ends at 2:00 pm.
