Coming events to warm up the winter season

A couple of upcoming events in nearby Cincinnati will help to bridge the gap between the holidays and the coming of spring.

Chili Fest is returning to the city for one day this month. It is presented by Gold Star Chili and the Findlay Market. This usual chili contest will not take place this year, but will return in future events. Guests will be able to sample chili from local restaurants; there will also be chili-themed food items. They can enjoy live musical entertainment, and hot and cold drinks will be available for purchase.

Closer to spring, the Cincinnati Spring Avant-Garde Art and Craft Show will be held at the Oasis Golf Club Conference Center. Proceeds will go to the Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank. There will be a variety of arts and crafts available for sale as well as food concessions. Applications for vendors are still being accepted.

Many Florence residents may want to take a short trip to see one or both of these events. Flyer printing firms may help to spread the word by providing printed products.

The chili festival will be held at Findlay Market on January 24 from 10:00 to 4:00 PM. Sample tickets can be purchased for $10 for five, or $20 for twelve. Call 513-665-4839 to learn more.

The arts and craft show will be held on March 7 from 10:00 to 4:00 PM. Tickets are $3. For more information, call 440-227-8794.
