A local production of the hit Christmas film “Elf” will visit Louisville this December.
“Elf the Musical Jr.” will be a treat to audiences of all ages. The plotline will follow that of the movie, where a young boy finds his way into Santa’s bag of goodies. He is transported to the North Pole, where he is mistaken for an elf. He grows eventually to twice the size of the normal elf, which leads to the discovery that he is in fact human. With Santa’s permission, Buddy departs the North Pole in search of his real family. He finds himself in comical misadventures along the way, as he aims to teach his unbelieving family about Santa and the true meaning of Christmas.
The event is put on by On Stage Theatre. This local organization offers students in the area an opportunity to explore their creative side. They offer classes for kids in filmmaking, acting, dancing, and singing. With this production, locals will be able to perform a piece that has been produced in theaters countrywide.
Details about ticket purchases for the event are available on the event’s website. Poster printing can offer useful information about the cast and support staff at shows like this one.
The musical will be shown at various times from December 16 - 18 at the On Stage School of the Arts at 10024 Demia Way in Florence.
