Overland Park to host summer-themed fundraiser
As a home to both common and rare plant species, arboretums and botanical gardens serve as reservoirs for biodiversity, and one located in Overland Park will soon be hosting a fundraising celebration.
For one evening in late June, Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Garden will be welcoming celebrants for a special fundraising evening, and the proceeds will help to meet the cost of offering programming, as well as maintenance and other upkeep of the sites. All support will be appreciated, and even if they cannot attend the function in person, members of the public can still help out by making a donation to the cause.
The plans for the celebration include sips of wine as well as catered dishes supplied by area eateries. Live music will be performed, and while the guests enjoy mingling and viewing the art that will be on display, they will be able to see, first hand, how their contributions will make a difference.
Along with the general public, the area's corporate community has been asked to lend its support to the occasion. A variety of sponsorship packages are on offer, all of which include ways of putting a company’s logo design in the eye of potential customers and clients.
The Stems Soiree will be getting summer off to a festive start on June 25, beginning at 7:00 pm. The suggested dress is business casual or other attire the guests feel is suitable for an outdoor party.
