Overland Park to be treated to garden soiree
Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens preserves and protects a variety of plant species, and a fundraiser will give the public a way to support this local site.
For one evening in June, area residents will be treated to an elegant affair, and the proceeds will be used for the benefit of the arboretum and gardens, as well as local artistic installations. Covid-19 prevention measures will be strictly followed, and it will be an in-person, outdoor celebration.
Guests at the function will be invited to sip a glass of wine while they sample small bites provided by area eateries. Live entertainment, including a fireworks show, is in the works, and the crowd will be able to mingle, network and make new connections. Craft beers will be on tap, and balloon twisters, character artists, and hand-painted wine glasses will round out the occasion.
Supporting an activity like this offers a way for a business of any size to show the community it cares. Organizing sponsorship packages will make it easy for them to do so, and these can include promotional pens, brochures, and other marketing items.
This garden soiree, which has been dubbed “Stems”, will be hosted at the gardens on June 26. Tickets are available for purchase now, and both general admission and patron level options are being sold. Anyone who would like to attend but would prefer not to do so in person is welcome to make a donation.
