Overland Park has Fourth of July schedule prepared
The City of Overland Park leaders are planning the Star Spangled Spectacular, a special celebration for the community in observance of Independence Day.
State Line Drive and Noe Palma will join the festivities and present musical performances throughout the evening. With food trucks on hand, everyone will have plenty to eat, drink, and enjoy.
The event venue will open at 5:00 pm. The fireworks show is scheduled to start at 9:45 pm. This year’s event is sponsored by Corporate Woods, McGown Gordon Construction, and Renewal by Anderson.
As the celebration is an outdoor event, attendees should plan to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Canopies, high back chairs, and tents are not allowed. Dogs on leashes are allowed, although must be in full control by the owner at all times, and owners should consider how they will deal with the fireworks.
Banner printing is a common project for outdoor event planners and local print shops. The banners provide the signage needed to direct participants to designated areas, as well as providing other important information. They are also used for advance promotional purposes.
Beverages and food may be brought into the park, and while coolers are permissible, glass containers are prohibited.
The Star Spangled Spectacular will take place at the Corporate Woods Founders’ Park located at 9711 W. 109th St. on July 4. Admission is free.
