Tie-dye shirts and baseball fandom collide at event

Baseball fans near Schererville will have a unique opportunity to let creativity flow while showing their support of their favorite Chicago baseball club.

The Cubs & Sox Tie-Dye Workshop, which will be hosted by Bridges Scorecard Restaurant, is giving diehard baseball fans a chance to create a one-of-a-kind piece to add to their Apparel collection. Participants can choose between Cubs and White Sox shirts and dyes.

Cubs-themed dyes will be red and blue, while White Sox combos will be grey and black. Traditional tie-dye colors like robin’s egg blue, hot pink, and yellow will also be available for selection.

Attendees will start the event by witnessing demonstrations of the different tie-dye techniques from experienced artists before taking the reins and creating their own shirts. Cost-effective marketing strategies like flyer printing can help event organizers spread the word about events like this to community members.

No experience is necessary, and instructors will provide guidance. Drinks and refreshments will be available from the host venue’s menu. All supplies are included, including extra gloves for skin protection and printed washout instructions to keep the chosen colors popping.

The host venue is located at 121 North Griffith Boulevard in nearby Griffith. The event is set for 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 4. Tickets start at $35.98 per shirt and are available from Eventbrite.
